Oral argument was held before Judge Zetusky on July 1, 2009.  I, along, with Commissioner Butler attended.  We are awaiting a decision for an Order to rebuild or demolish the structure.

Certain members of the Township staff and all commissioners have been deposed in connection with the civil rights claims filed by the owners of this property. This case is scheduled to be heard in December 2009.  The owner has asked for a jury trial. This aspect of the case is being defended by an attorney hired by our insurance carrier.

In light of the pending litigation, I have to limit my comments.  But, be assured everything that legally can be done to rid our township of this blight is being done.  Please do not fall prey to rumors and misinformation about what steps we, as a Board, are taking.  For accurate information, please continue to consult my website at triddell.tripod.com and attend our monthly meetings.
